"weird" foods

so last night i was watching something on the travel channel about a guy traveling around eating what americans consider weird foods. don't know who he was but i watched it. for one thing i noticed how completely american he was, even to the people he was eating with or buying from. i don't think he realized that he was in a different country and they have a different set of manners and customs.

that being said. i was watching it with 3 guys and they were all like "ugh i'll never eat that" but if u think about it these people (mostly in the asian countries this was) have been cooking for themselves for how long? they have been eating these things and not only NOT DYING but they have turned most of it into a pleasureable meal. yes there is the still beating frog heart and the pig testicle, those things i may never eat, but the reason that these people are eating these things are because they know that it has nutrients and they know it's tasty.

so really, us americans with our cow, and our processed everything that has no nutrients at all... maybe we should actually start thinking like these people. anything can be good if u cook it right. meat is meat. food is food. what they're eating isn't weird, its smart.
