a little about me

Ryan is what has to be my best friend. I mean, matt is my best friend, but we all need more than just the significant for friendship.

The first time i saw ryan he was wearing a pink polo shirt with the collar up. i thought he was generally attractive but didn't think much of it. matt and i were still in the part of our relationship where all we breathed was each other. There was no one else.

We were in training class together. 4 weeks of sitting in the same room for 8 hours a night learning about deaf culture, how to handle fraud and abuse, how to work the computer program that lets us relay calls, and none of what we learned in training really prepared us for how it was going to be.

the first night i ended up sitting next to him and james. the minute james walked in the door i knew he was gay. i didn't know he was a fucking jerk but, i would soon. on our first break ryan bummed me what would turn out to be the first of many many cigarettes and we went outside to smoke together, along with james.

when i got home i told matt "true to form, i hung out with guys all night" and funny thing is, ryan told lili - his girlfriend - about me too. she got insanly jealous... matt hid it a little better.

he's loud and influential. with him around i am destined to make noise and make trouble. that's what we did for all four of those weeks. we made trouble. we learned what we had to do, but we made trouble in the process.

I love ryan like a brother... no... more like that friend you've had all your life. the neighbor boy who used to pull your hair and throw worms at you on rainy mornings... but the boy who's still around to this day telling u about the sex he just had. even though he's only been around less than a year.

he has since told matt that he thinks of me as a sister and that he would 1) never steal me from him and 2) help matt by beating up any guy who tried to steal me...
